It Seems to Me.

Roosevelt, Eleanor. It Seems to Me. New York: W.W. Norton & Company, Inc., (1954).

8vo.; red paper-covered boards; black cloth spine; dust-jacket, spine lightly faded; photographic portrait of ER on the upper panel.

First edition of this late, uncommon “anthology” of ER’s work for McCall’s magazine from 1949-54, which took the form of a question-and-answer dialogue with her readers. Twenty-four topics are touched on, ranging from the domestic to the political; there’s a surprising amount of information on FDR in the more outward-looking sections.
