She praises specifically his "A Legend of Brittany," sends her "best love" to Maria, adding, "Her image is always in my heart. After writing about a local event-"I was glad to hear that the citizens tuned out to escort William White in Watertown..."-she devotes a page and half to suggesting he "take Oceola as a subject for an epic, providing many of the details he would need. She concludes with a reference to the gratitude of one John Hopper "that you should think of him in the distribution of your books."
